Goodbee & Associates, Inc. staff members shared in the excitement and joy as Habitat's hard-working partner families received the keys to their future homes. Habitat for Humanity has a gigantic project underway: the Bails Townhome Community Project at I25 and Colorado Blvd., where 24 townhomes are being constructed through the 2010 Fall season. It is an amazing opportunity, and the site will need upwards of 200 volunteers daily to keep things going! Goodbee & Associates sponsored a Build Day on April 30th, 2010 - and we ask that our friends and clients please consider doing the same as a way of ‘paying it forward’. In addition to representing our industry, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity is a great team building activity and, most importantly, a wonderful way to give back to the community. Stay tuned for information on our second Build Day of the year, slated for the Fall.

We are pleased to announce that Lisa Goodbee was awarded the Ray Finney Award from Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver for her leadership and volunteer work with the Habitat Corporate Leadership Team. She has been successful in recruiting other CLT members, and continues to reach out to engineering firms and small businesses to join the Goodbee team and be active in funding and building decent safe affordable homes in Denver.
Goodbee staff members were proud to participate in the 11th Annual WTS Colorado Golf Tournament, held at the Black Bear Golf Club in Parker, where more than $3,000 was raised for the WTS Scholarship. The Goodbee foursome absconded with the prize for lowest scoring all-women team! Go Goodbee!
Goodbee team members replaced their rulers and computers for hammers and shovels at Habitat for Humanity's All-Women Build site in the City of Lakewood not once, but twice, in 2009! The first volunteer day in May included roofing, fascia boards and some serious hammering, while day two in July was all about landscaping. Crews worked diligently, with lots of sweat and some serious fun as well!
