Goodbee & Associates provided Utility Coordination services for the southeast I-25 corridor project which involved more than 500 utility facilities and over 300 utility relocations, both public and private. Responsibilities included Utility Design Management for the 19-mile Transportation Expansion Project, the largest Design-Build project to-date in the State of Colorado. About T-REX: Major interstates were widened to as many as 7 lanes in each direction and 19 miles of double-track light rail were added throughout the metro area. T-REX is considered by some to be one of the most successful transportation upgrade projects in the United States. |

Goodbee & Associates provided Utility Coordination services for the Colorado Springs I-25 corridor involving 300 utility facilities and over 150 utility relocations, both public and private. The GA team was responsible for Utility Design Management for this Design-Build project, coordinating with numerous affected utilities, the City and the Contractor throughout design and construction. About COSMIX: The project involved the widening of seven miles of I-25 to three lanes in both directions. Construction included 16 new bridges, four widened bridges, frontage roads, and ramp improvements. With a cost of approximately $150 million, COSMIX is the largest highway construction project in Colorado Springs history. |

Goodbee & Associates provided Utility Coordination services for the proposed Denver Union Station project, including existing utility field locates, mapping of existing and proposed utilities, coordination with all affected utility companies regarding facilities, and evaluating service capacities and requirements for the new downtown station. Environmental work involved Environmental/Hazardous materials investigation for the proposed station, including a review of all past hazardous materials reports (Phase I and Phase II documents), providing recommendations for additional studies and identifying potential areas of concern for the various alternatives under review for the station. |

The Design-Build Project has an aggressive project schedule and includes tasks such as wet utility design (water and sanitary), wet and dry utility coordination for all utilities potentially affected by the project, extensive coordination regarding potential drainage impacts as they relate to utilities, schedule coordination and cost responsibilities/agreement coordination for the interchange design build project. |

Plan to identify impacted utilities and coordinate with utility companies regarding service boundaries, relocation requirements, project schedule, easements, and potential relocation design. |

Goodbee & Associates served as a subconsultant to North Corridor Constructors, a joint venture of contractors Las Vegas Paving and CH2M Hill, on the $240 million Nevada DOT Design-Build project to widen I-15 from the Spaghetti Bowl to Craig Road. The project, slated for a finish date of Fall 2010, made headlines when it was completed 10 months ahead of schedule! Laura Baxter, Senior Utility Coordinator and Scheduler for Goodbee, led the team in providing utility coordination services for the project including dry and wet utility relocations, construction sequencing and scheduling, utility agreements, subcontractor contract monitoring, and change order management. In addition to the early completion, the I-15 venture holds the distinction of being the first Design-Build project in the state. |
